I purchased a ASUS VE248 back on the 15-05-2011
I am disapointed with the Gaming performance it offers as when you play Halo 1 and as an example the Screen jumps around and flickers very badly as this was not experienced when using my old Crt Screen. I used the Same screen with Halo 2 and again the the middle section of the Screen flickers badly with Horisontal lines left to right. At first i thought ok i,m expecting to much and reduced the resolution down in the settings both in the game and in the control panel and this only slightly helped. This screen is ok for internet or watching a movie on DVD or viewing documents or photos for that matter and its very good at that .
But as a screen for games just forget it its a shocker! and to make matters worse there are no drivers for the unit available . now in all fairness i Run a AMD 2.8 GHs Chip with 8Meg of Ram and a GTS-450 Nvidia with 1 Gig of Ram Running Win Vista Ultimate and i updated to Nvidia Drivers Ver 8.17.12.7061 I,m so upset with this Screen i,m going to give the thing to my wife who can use this piece of junk for tracing the family history as i think this is really what its good for only.
