This is THE WORST monitor one can buy
Problems: The viewing angle is so bad that you should sit exactly in front of screen center to see any thing. Even then the corners are appear dark. I didn't inquire properly or see the reviews before buying this monitor. Its not worth the money we pay, only after bringing it home we come to know about it. please don't do the mistake I have done, there are a lot of other good monitors you can go for. this doesn't even deserve a single star but it is the least we can give.

This is a good looking monitor but only on the outside. I bought it for my father's PC replacing an older Viewsonic 17" CRT. Thought LG monitors were build with superb quality. Turns out that I got fooled. This monitor has a pathetic viewing angle. Absolutely unfit for viewing movies. Compared to my Acer P225HQ monitor, this sucks big time. Two things that I'd like to gripe about are 1. Very bad viewing angles both horizontally and vertically. 2. I see some patterns as if a magnetic source is affecting the monitor at native 1600x900 resolution. And this makes the monitor get only 2 stars from me. For movies, this pattern isn't irritating. But the poor viewing angle makes watching movies a pain if you are not in the center. Go a little sideways on either side, you see negative images in regions that are dark in the movie. Sucks big time. Don't buy this monitor!! I'd highly recommend not to buy this and rather buy the acer monitors. But if i reduce resolution to 1366x768 I don't get patterns. I like working with images on this monitor. It has good brightness and contrast, nice colors too. After calibration, the image quality looks great thought. If not for those two issues I'd definitely recommend this product.
